David Engelhardt ESQ. - Managing Attorney
David Engelhardt is the founding attorney of Engelhardt Law. He is admitted to practice in New York State and federal courts where his focus is working with individuals in the areas of business litigation and transaction. He has handled complex civil litigation, and recently argued and won before the First Department Appellate Division on a case with 50 million dollars in controversy. David has consulted best businesses practices both domestic and international transactions throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. David has been quoted in publications such as Forbes, Business News Daily, & Inc. Magazine.
David received his Bachelor of Science from Portland State University, where he majored in Philosophy. He graduated as a scholarship recipient from Regent University Law School, where he competed nationally in appellate advocacy, was a graduate assistant for professors in the fields of both Intellectual Property and contracts, and gained valuable experience while interning with the United States Air Force and United States Coast Guard.
Prior to establishing Engelhardt Law David worked with in both the non-profit sector and as an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur David launched Cohesive Design, a branding and graphic design company, which served businesses in the formation of brand identity and communication. This background gives David a first hand understanding of branding and business. In the non-profit sector David has worked with NGOs and churches since 1998. He has been married to his wife Bethany for over twelve years, and has three children: Leon, Solomon, and Goldie.
Kristin Grant ESQ. - Of Counsel
Kristin is of Counsel with Engelhardt law. Admitted to practice in New York and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office she represents individuals and companies in the areas of business and intellectual property law. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science from Howard University, where she majored in Chemistry, and her Master's in Business Administration from the University of Wales. A graduate of New York Law School, she focused her law school education towards learning about issues in business and intellectual property law.
When she is not working with Engelhardt law, Kristin continues to work at Grant PLLC, an intellectual property law firm with a heavy patent prosecution practice. Her prior work experience includes working as a patent consultant at AltSchool, Inc. - a community of micro-schools using various technologies to streamline the learning and administrative processes. At AltSchool Kristin worked with several software engineering teams through various stages of the patent process. She provided opinions on the patentability of inventions, conducted prior art searches and drafted search reports, drafted and filed patent applications, and responded to office actions.
Kristin gained valuable experience in intellectual property law and licensing while working with Ladas & Parry LLP and The law firm of Spektor & Tsirkin P.C. Between these two intellectual property law firms, she was exposed to a wealth of legal issues in the areas of patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright law.
Kristin is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and she serves on the Board of the Directors of the New York Law School Alumni Association.
Mark Gasarch, ESQ. - OF COUNSEL
Mark Gasarch is a career corporate and transactional attorney based in the New York City area. He has formed businesses, facilitated large corporate investments, and overseen a career of various investment vehicles. Mark has a long and distinguished career as a New York business attorney functioning, at one point, as a Staff Attorney with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Mark formed over 60 limited partnerships in the energy field, primarily oil and natural gas, with over 100 million in capital, located both domestically and internationally. Now in the later years of his practice, he lives with his wife in Edgewater, New Jersey.
Mark Gasarch's college education includes Amherst College, B.A., 1963; New York University, M.B.A., 1972, and Harvard Law School, J.D., 1966. Mark is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was a John Woodruff Simpson Fellow.
Mark is admitted to the courts federal and state courts of New York, New Jersey, and Florida, and practices business transaction, and securities law.
